A Tour Of My Los Angeles Art Studio

It may be small, but this is where I make all the colors happen! It’s full of natural light and has clean white walls, pretty much a dream come true.

I’ve actually been lucky enough to have an art studio pretty much everywhere I’ve lived since I was a kid, from the basement to the garage to tiny corners of New York apartments. I always make it work because I truly cannot live without at least a couple square feet of space to create.

I think it’s a common phenomenon that an artist’s work changes with their space. Until I took over this 150 sq. ft. spot I don’t think I had ever made a painting larger than three feet. Now I’ve made a couple that are six or seven. I can still feel myself squeezing into this space a bit like Alice in Wonderland, so when it comes time for a bigger studio we’ll see if larger artwork follows.

For now, come take a look at everything I manage to contain within this sunny magical room. Hit play to watch the full tour.
