When I graduated from NYU in 2009, I had a couple of studio classes and one gallery internship under my belt. When I told my boss at the gallery that I wanted to pursue an art career, her advice (and the conventional path at the time) was to go back home, create a body of work at my parents’ house and come back in 6 months to knock on gallery doors until someone would (maybe) take a look.
The art world was transitioning slowly, online galleries weren’t really a thing and Instagram didn’t exist yet. In the years since then, I’ve discovered many more effective (and fun!) methods for honing my style as an artist, connecting with ideal collectors, building relationships with amazing art world partners and, of course, selling art.
I now sell my work consistently, have multiple galleries representing me, originals installed in hotels in LA, Miami, Atlanta, San Francisco and beyond, and I’ve been featured by Real Simple, Emily Henderson, Anthropologie, Clever, Alexandra Gater, Parachute Home and DesignLoveFest.
