Happy Artist: Don't Overthink What to Send in Your Artist Newsletters

Don't overthink your artist newsletters…

(This was my conclusion after deliberating what to send in the newsletter THIS blog post is based on for over an hour. Oopsy!)

Looking back on my notes from the Happy Artist Field Guide, I realized the most important thing I shared about adding value to your audience as a creative in my Newsletter Module was this:

Simply seeing your beautiful art or a peek at you making it, your studio or even your personal life/travel/family IS providing value.

You've probably heard that growing your email list and sending newsletters is one of the most important things you can do for your art practice. And I agree…

Except stressing over how to “add value” to your subscribers and approaching newsletters the same way a famous speaker or a service-based business does, is how I wasted a lot of energy over the years.

There's nothing elaborate or ground-breaking you need to do to provide value to your audience as an artist.

We're uniquely positioned to give value just by making what we love and sharing a peek at it. Congrats!

That said, having a simple strategy and a routine for what you send out can be SUCH a relief.
