So what is an art studio hangout?

Well, there's art and there's wine. Think of it as an art workshop without the work. I'll have supplies (paint, watercolor, paper...) to color and create and I'll share some guidance, but otherwise it will be a time to let loose and create art just for fun.

If you're familiar with Ladies Drawing Night, that's the vibe we're going for ;) But guys welcome too! No pressure to make a masterpiece. Just time, space and support to do something artsy.

Why I want us to hang out together...

I've been obsessed with art and the idea of being an artist my whole life. I love the romanticized image of artists in their studios - black and white photos of Georgia O'Keeffe in her desert, stories of eccentric creative geniuses and their muses, painty toxic smells all around. I love hearing any creative person talk about their process and their motivation and all of that other lovely pretentious-sounding stuff. I always thought it would be so cool to get to hang out in a "real" artist's studio and play around.

Now being an actual artist who works in a studio I've come to learn it's just any space where you make art and it's sometimes just a dining room your supportive BF lets you take over. In other words, a studio itself is nothing special. But I still love the thought of sharing the experience of being a "real" artist with anyone and everyone who wants to jump in and be part of it.

I'm not eccentric or elusive or notorious (yet), but I do have wine. So come hangout and color and play and make something fun with friends.

Can't make it to this one IRL? Check out my online classes for free ;)
