Excited to announce a new collection of paintings on view at Los Angeles County Store January 2018! The show is titled "Ladies of the Canyon," and was inspired by my romanticized impressions of California.
I have a bit of a crazy obsession with Joni Mitchell. I've been listening to the same three or four albums of hers on repeat for the last fifteen years. Now you know 🤓
Before I moved here, a lot of my ideas and visions of LA came from listening to the music that came out of Laurel Canyon in the 1960s. And that's still the LA that I love in my mind: long hair, tambourines, being part of nature, creative freedom and all kinds of special herbs. The pieces in my collection are an abstract love letter to this mythical time and place.
All works available for purchase through LA County Store. View the collection online here
Show opens Saturday, January 13th and will be on view through January
